Sales Manager

Hire All is looking to employ a sales manager who will need to go to all 9 different branches.

Job Description and Key Tasks:

On an ongoing basis the incumbent will fulfil the following tasks:

  • Pull reports and assess the accuracy of sales throughout the company

  • Manage the sales process with the relevant sales resources

  • Daily weekly, monthly and annually set and manage sales targets

  • Assess sales performance and take corrective action

  • Meet with sales resources to coach, guide and improve individual performance

  • Performance manage sales resources to maximize their contribution and where required performance managing them through the disciplinary process

  • Manage sales discipline appropriately, taking the necessary disciplinary approaches as deemed fit.

  • Seek out and develop new sales opportunities

  • Meet with senior managers to discuss sales performance with the intent of improving growth prospects

  • Recruitment of sales resources as and when required

  • Formulating, executing and managing sales and key account plans as required

  • Development and management of the sales call centre team

  • Providing input on possible products rationalization and product development strategies

  • Input to the executive team on sales performance, plans, opportunities, resourcing and sales development

  • Feedback and the provision of actionable information relative to operational, administrative, financial and quality-related issues that may be impacting sales performance

  • The formulation of a monthly sales report indicating performance, problem areas, areas of strategic opportunity and plans to realize growth targets

  • Mobilising resources to gather market intelligence that is fed into the executive team to discuss and formulate plans to guard against threats whilst capitalizing on opportunities.

  • Mobilising sales resources to gather competitive information so that it is collated to give a view of competitive threats and opportunities

Key Requirements:

  • Have at least 3 years experience in sales or even sales manager, be it in civils, construction or mining. Plant hire experience would be a major advantage!

  • Confident, self-motivated and driven to succeed.

  • Must have good communication skills and the ability to motivate staff.

  • Have a fair understanding of Excel and the powers thereof.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

  • Must be willing to transfer to various branches.

  • Tertiary studies in Business Management will be advantageous.
