Warehouse Manager
The Warehouse controller is responsible for all warehouse activities, including the receipt, transfer, dispatching and control of inventory items, tools and equipment. This includes the storage, safety aspects, housekeeping and distribution for these items and the management thereof in terms of documentation and controls. Controls include stock taking, cycle counts, development of standard operating procedures, supervision of staff, performance evaluation and accurate, daily system maintenance and updates in order to ensure that inventory is accurately managed and reflected at all times.
In terms of inventory requirements, working closely to the procurement officer will be an essential part of the warehouse controller’s duties.
Reporting to:
Chief Financial Officer and will work under guidance of Supply Chain Manager

Experience:
Three or more years’ experience in warehouse management.
Appropriate qualifications to support this role.
Strong understanding of the supply chain process & role requirements.
Must be able to suggest & implement process controls & improvements.
Must have experience in dealing with construction equipment & automotive spares.
Experienced in running an organized and well-ordered environment.
Sound knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy, systems and document flows.
Main job functions:
Initiation and planning of all stock orders.
Consolidation of orders for stock and non-stock branch and workshop requirements.
Housekeeping, general organization and work flowing within the warehouse environments.
Compliance with necessary health & safety requirements within the warehouse environment.
Maintenance of min/max stock levels preventing stock outs and workshop inefficiency.
Compilation of standard operating procedures (SOP).
Warehouse staff training and management.
Maintaining stock within set targets in terms of movements, wastage and variances.
Regular stock verifications to be conducted to ensure alignment with the employed system.
Ensuring accurate stock valuation is done based on the ruling methodology.
Management of logistics around inter branch transfers, deliveries and collections.
Management and control of tools and equipment issued to workshop and technical staff.
Regular communication with procurement to manage requirements and expectations.
Prompt and accurate receipts of supplier stock & issues to workshops, branches and technical teams.
Management reporting and analysis.
